Booze Cruise are melodic skate punk Yellowknife, time to party like it’s ’01! I am pumped to see this band as this is the sort of band I would see every weekend growing up (old school locals like Pressure Point, The Johnsons, Daryl’s Grocery Bag, Deville, and, Filmmaker) and dude, those shows were huge. These bands had big followings, serious work ethics and their eyes on the prize. Booze Cruise are really good at playing this style, they are slick, fast and fun as hell.
For CUYA it’s also it is one more band closer to having booked bands from every province and territory. I have crossed almost all of them off my list, for instance BC (Evan Symons, Twin Crystals, Osk, Modern Creatures, Unlearn, etc, etc, etc), Alberta (just about every punk band worth their snuff), Sask (Rehashed, Old Problems, Good Things, Etc) Manitoba (Unwanted, Wolbachia, Still Birth, Still Fighting, Etc), Ontario (Constraints, Rough Sea, Etc), Quebec (Vile Intent, Barnburner, Etc), New Brunswick (Rusted Dawn, Etc), Nova Scotia (Cop Shades, Etc), NFL (Class War Kids, Etc). Now the Territories have been trickier, Booze Cruise will be the first (I think, I could have forgotten a band or two) and I would like to finish this up, so you Yukon grindcore bands and Nunavut crusties holler at me!
